Welcome to GL Ministries Music Ministry, an expression of faith that recognizes music as more than sound. Sacred music can teach, encourage, comfort, inspire worship, strengthen faith, and communicate biblical truth.
Music has a unique ability to reach both the mind and the heart. For this reason, GL Ministries seeks to use music carefully, prayerfully, and purposefully as an instrument of ministry.
Our Understanding of Music Ministry
Music ministry is not entertainment added to worship.
It is ministry in its own right.
Through sacred music, we seek to:
Glorify God.
Proclaim biblical truth.
Point people to Jesus Christ.
Encourage believers.
Comfort the discouraged.
Strengthen faith.
Teach spiritual truth.
Support evangelism and worship.
A song can sometimes communicate a truth that remains in the heart long after a spoken message has ended.
Christ at the Centre
The foundation of GL Ministries Music Ministry is Christ.
Our desire is not simply to produce beautiful music, but music that has spiritual substance, biblical integrity, and a clear purpose.
The central question is therefore not
“How impressive is the music?”
but:
“Does the music lead hearts toward God?”
Sacred Music as Ministry
GL Ministries seeks to encourage music that is:
Biblical
Christ-centered
Spiritually meaningful
Worshipful
Uplifting
Doctrinally responsible
Evangelistic
Appropriate to its purpose
Music can express praise, surrender, gratitude, repentance, hope, faith, and anticipation of Christ's return.
It can also become a means of teaching Scripture and preserving important spiritual truths in memorable form.
Composition and Creativity
The Music Ministry also provides a space for original compositions, musical ideas, sacred works, and creative expressions developed through the ministry.
Creativity is understood as a gift that should be used responsibly.
The songwriter, composer, instrumentalist, vocalist, producer, and media creator can all become servants of the same mission:
to use creativity to glorify God and bless people.
Music and Evangelism
Music can cross barriers that spoken communication sometimes cannot.
A song may reach someone who would never attend a traditional preaching program.
A devotional song may encourage someone in a difficult season.
A Scripture-based composition may remain in someone's memory for years.
A sacred musical presentation may open the door to a spiritual conversation.
For these reasons, music remains an important part of the wider GL Ministries mission.
Music, Character, and Worship
True worship is not confined to what happens during a musical presentation.
The life of the minister matters.
Character, humility, integrity, preparation, and service should accompany musical ability.
We therefore believe that the messenger and the message should support one another.
Excellence matters.
But spiritual integrity matters more.
